The Leasing Department
The Leasing Department’s services entail securing a lease for properties on behalf of TECOM Investments and its Business Units. Their services include but are not limited to pro-active marketing of assets to the widest range of prospective tenants, securing new tenants for a property as well as negotiating surrender agreements, relocations, expansions and renewals.
Services
Signing of Lease Agreements
- Process Lease for commercial premises, parking spaces, signage and storage spaces.
- Negotiate the Lease (if required), review appropriate documents and forms associated with the Lease.
- Complete the documentation required for the contract for term of tenancy.
- Execute Lease Renewals.
Database Management
- Maintain a sophisticated database of the property and clients within the TECOM Zone.
- Administer records of rental activity, special permits and property availability.
Property Management
- Act as a liaison between tenants and the management of TECOM Investments.
- Conduct complete snag checks during the first handover of premises as well as between occupants; thus ensuring smooth transition.
- Lease enforcement.
- Investigating complaints, disturbances and violations and resolving them in accordance with pertinent rules and regulations.
Facility Management Coordination
- Oversee the property services viz. cleaning, maintenance and security services; thus ensuring that the property has and retains a competitive edge.
- Coordinate requests for maintenance and upgrades.
Staff
The Leasing Department is managed by the Executive Director – Customer Operations Division.
Business Counters are a part of the one-stop-shop service provided by the Customer Operation Division, where Business Partners can submit applications and requests for changes. The Business Counter staff then forward these applications / requests to the back office where necessary paper work is executed to reflect the changes.
