The Registration and Licensing DepartmentRegistration and licensing department (RLD) is the focal point of registration and incorporation of new clients in the free zone. Prospective clients that forward their legal documents to Sales Department and get their legal papers approved, avail from the quick and easy incorporation services of the RLD to provide them with legal structure required to set up their business. Once the basic formalities of registering the new client have been completed, Registration and licensing department provide the ongoing service of making required amendments to their registration status. Services:
Incorporation is essential for clients in order to secure status as a legal entity, obtain credit and raise capital. The procedure for incorporation is simple, free of red tape and involves minimal costs. Once the client submits the required documents as per legal checklists, RLD issues the Free Zone Limited Liability Company (FZ-LLC) a “Certificate of Incorporation”. Once the client is registered and licensed with the authority, the company may apply for changes in the company register including Share transfer, Capital Increase, Change of Directors, and Change of Company Name. The approved changes by RLD are recorded in the company register. The Licensing Section of the RLD provides FZ-LLCs and Branches of UAE Companies/Establishments or Branches of Foreign Companies with a license to operate in the free zone. Licenses are provided for a period of one year and renewable on a yearly basis. If the services and activities of the applying company are approved by the authority, the licensee will be granted a license to operate in the free zone. The licensing Section provides the service of renewing company licenses on a yearly basis. If the licensee wishes to amend the license details, such as Manager Name, Company Location or License Segment/Activity, this request also needs to be submitted to RLD to change Registration and Licensing Team:The Registration and licensing Department is part of a bigger department which is Customer Operation Division. Business Counters are a part of the one-stop-shop service provided by the Customer Operation Division, where Business Partners can submit applications and requests for changes. The Business Counter staff then forward those requests to the back office, where the necessary paper work is carried out and changes are reflected in the system. |
